Slightly Epic Tutoring

• I have 6 years math tutoring experience of all subjects/levels up and including calculus
• From 2011 to 2017, all of my tutoring was in person 1-on-1 sessions, either in student's homes or at school libraries. 
• In 2024, reopened this service to public, and began volunteer tutoring kids with foster care experience through my alliance with AgingUp.org

• 1-on-1 Mathematics tutoring via 1-hour sessions
• Online tutoring offered for all students
• In-person tutoring offered for students local to Wheatland, California
• $50/hr fee is waved for youths with any foster care experience
• Available weekdays,  Mon-Fri: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Interview/Introductory Meeting

• At start of first session with a new student, we'll spend a  few min with introductions, and getting to understand the needs and situation of the student. 
• I'll assess my ability to help, and if all parties are willing to move forward, we can start the actual tutoring session. 

Frequency

• 1/week is the typical tutoring frequency
• I'm happy to provide correspondence (email/text) support between sessions, up to 3 questions/week. 

For online sessions

• We'll use Zoom and the whiteboard feature it has. Having a touchscreen device (and stylus) will make it easier for you to write.
• Camera's on (strongly encouraged), it helps me know if you're following what I'm saying
• Send homework questions/material ahead of time each session

Some people may not even need tutoring, given the vast number of other online resources to help with math. Feel free to give these great resources a try, and if you still have questions, I'm here to help.
